One of the problems with mini-trucks is that they come from the factory with mini tires. Fortunately the aftermarket has what you need to fit larger, more aggressive meats under your pickup. We compiled a list of some of the best suspension offerings for downsized trucks, from the Chevy S10 to the Nissan Hardbody, although it should come as no surprise that there are more options for the Toyota Tacoma than any other since they are the most popular midsized trucks on the trail. Whether your goal is a slight boost in height without breaking the bank, a lift to the sky, or increasing wheel travel, you will find what you need here.

Rancho 4-Inch Chevy Colorado Suspension
There is a lot of focus on the new Colorado, but Rancho realizes that there are a lot of 2004-2012 Chevy Colorados and GMC Canyons out there just waiting to hit the trails. Rancho’s 4-inch lift kit for these trucks accommodates up to 33-inch-tall tires with the company’s ReaLIFT torsion bar relocation technology, which eliminates relocation of the factory torsion bar crossmember to maximize ground clearance. Other heavy-duty components include a special, low-profile, two-piece crossmember design and beefy CNC-machined, extended cast steering knuckles.

Superlift 6-Inch S-10 Lift Kit
Superlift's Frame Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) elevates lifted vehicle performance to the next level. The F.I.T. approach focuses on proper steering geometry, suspension travel control, and frame rigidity. Laser-cut bracketry lowers the factory upper and lower control arms, in relation to the frame, to provide front lift. A full-width belly pan mates to the Superlift lower control arm crossmembers to increase overall system rigidity. Rear lift is accomplished by relocating the factory springs from below the axle to the top. Available with your choice of Superide or Superide SS shocks by Bilstein and clears 33-inch-tall tires.

Pro Comp Tacoma Pro Runner Performance Suspension
If you are looking for more than just increased ride height, Pro Comp’s Pro Runner Performance kits might be for you. These kits are available with either Pro Runner Black Series coilovers and shocks or Pro Runner Monotube shocks, along with tubular upper control arms that increase wheel travel and ensure proper suspension geometry. And like all Pro Comp’s suspension products these kits are covered by the Pro Comp Promise Warranty.
