The new piston fuel pump by RacePump works on the same principle as a master cylinder but with an ingenious floating valve mechanism that automatically adjusts for the amount of fuel needed by the engine. It acts much as the return line on a fuel-injected engine, and is said to be usable on any engine from 200 to 2,800 hp. The flow rate of this pump is 204 gph at 60 psi at any rpm level. It's constructed from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, has stainless steel internal parts, and special proprietary seals designed for gasoline and methanol applications.
