A gusseted and sleeved Rubicon Dana 44 takes up residence under the front of the rig and it retains the factory electric locker and 4.10:1 gearing. It has been upgraded with Superior 35-spline chromoly Evolution Series axleshafts, Warn Premium hubs, Crown Performance Products stainless steel brake lines, and a River Raider diff cover that features flush-mounted Grade 8 hardware as well as fill and drain plugs. The suspension includes TeraFlex long-arms from their 4-inch kit. The lower arms are made from 2-inch-diameter material and the uppers are made from 1.25-inch-diameter material. The OE coil and shock configuration has been replaced by King piggyback-reservoir coilovers on custom mounts. Also gone are the factory bumpstops, which have been replaced by King bumpstops on custom mounts. The result is a suspension with a great ride and flex that only generates four inches of lift to keep the vehicles center of gravity low.
