1996 Ranger STX
The STX models were continued through 1997 and remained the most trail-oriented packages in the lineup. Though the High Rider/Sport Rider factory lifts had been discontinued late in the Gen 2 era, the new truck could carry 265/75R15 tires (about a 31x10.50-15) with its generous wheelwells. You could still get the faux rollbar and tubular rear bumper but the brush bar option was deleted—likely due to crash standards and airbags.
