2004 Ranger
By 2004, the Ranger was looking a lot like the F-150 up front, but the writing was on the wall. Sales had dipped below 200,000 for the first time since 1984. Ranger production in the Louisville, Kentucky assembly plant had ceased back in the ‘90s. The Edison, New Jersey Ranger plant had shut down in 2004. The last Ranger factory is the Twin Cities Plant, Ford’s oldest assembly facility, which is due to close in 2012.
