It’s not like CXT suspension lifts are readily available, so a custom system was designed by Chucks Trucks. To create the lift needed for the larger tires up front, the leaf springs were re-arched, factory-like 1 1/2-inch longer custom shackles were fabricated, four 1/2-inch-thick laser-cut shims (per side) that mimicked the factory shims were added, longer U-bolts were used, and longer shocks from a tractor-trailer supply house were installed. This created enough lift for a set of 53x16.0R20 Michelin XZL tires that replace the 40-inch-diameter stock tires. The new Michelin’s are mounted on custom split-rim wheels that are 10 inches wide.
