Under the front of the truck is a rebuilt GM Dana 60 and it has an ARB Air Locker, Yukon 5.13:1 ratio gears, Yukon chromoly axleshafts, LPW Racing Products Ultra diff cover, and a steering system consisting of a Skyjacker 4-inch drop pitman arm, Offroad Design high-steer kit, and a Redneck Ram hydraulic assist. The suspension includes Chevy 1/2-ton truck rear-application 54-inch-long leaf springs and Bilstein 5150 14-inch-travel shocks. All of the hangers, shackles, and shock hoops were custom-built by Brown. Also up front is a Speedway Engineering sway bar. Brown says the suspension moved the axle forward about two inches, so he relocated the steering box forward the same distance to retain the proper steering geometry. Brown also boxed and strengthened the frame around the steering box.
