After the delivery guy showed up, it was back to steering. This twisted pitman arm from GenRight moves the steering-box-end joint away from the axle and closer to the frame. Using a rod end greatly reduces the overall height, which meant our tie rod now cleared our drag link. It is constructed from TIG-welded, 1⁄4-inch-thick steel. It is so massive a normal pitman arm puller won’t work, so GenRight designed a puller for it that works on the internal threads on the arm. For you Rust Belt guys, don’t paint where the nut holds the arm on. After you get the arm on the Jeep, put some grease in there so the threads stay fresh, then install the included plastic cap.
