Trimming The Crossmember

From the factory the TTB-equipped Ranger had some heavy-duty crossmembers that doubled as suspension mounting points. Since we are trying to keep the Ranger low and not hinder the suspension travel, we trimmed out a large section of the front crossmember that rests below the engine. This gives our front axle more room to travel upward. A few inches of uptravel can make a big difference in the ride and performance of the vehicle.
