A 33-inch spare tire won't fit under the bed of a short box Comanche. On my last truck I used an off-the-shelf, through-bed mount for the spare tire, and any time I needed to haul a part, I needed to remove it-which got old real fast. This time I wanted the tire out of the way, so I used some scrap steel and a 3-pound maul coupled with a 3/8-inch-thick tire mounting plate (with light hole) and an adjustable bracket from M.O.R.E. to fashion a mount for the tire between the tool box and the inner bed wall. Just about any part M.O.R.E. makes you can buy individually if you call them up. These parts are normally found on the company's tire carriers. I'll go fix the fender later. No, no, really I will.
