Sitting On The Trailer

The moment of truth! We chucked blocks of wood in front and behind the Chief to make sure it wouldn’t roll into our tow rig or garage if the brakes or tranny didn’t work. The T-case was in Neutral, which momentarily threw us for a loop, but after slapping the Quadra-Trac into gear the Cherokee pulled cleanly off the trailer and stopped under its own power. Small victory. We laid the Yakima Load Warrior rack on the roof to simply get it out of the way, but naysayers complained on our Facebook and blog pages. Deal with it. We think it’ll stay.
