With its first foray onto public roads in years on the horizon, we checked the tie rod ends, ball joints, bearing preload, and made sure there was 90W in the diffs. The driver-side bearing preload was a bit loose, but we had to dive into the front Dana 44 to replace the dead axleshaft U-joints anyway, so no biggie. The axle bearings were in good shape, so we regreased ’em and left them in place.
