We wanted more wheelbase, but wouldn’t sacrifice any interior space or fuel capacity to get it. GenRight’s aluminum Crawler EXT fuel tank is TIG-welded and features a 3⁄16-inch-thick steel skidplate that offers 1-inch more ground clearance than the stock tank, while providing the ability to move the factory rear axle back 5 inches. However, our custom Currie Enterprises F9 housing is larger, so we were only able to push our rear axle back 3 1/2 inches.
