Since we used a YJ tank, using YJ filler hose and a junkyard-fresh YJ filler neck to get gas to the tank of our ’56 was a no brainer. It did require some fancy routing of the filler hose to get it around the narrow frame of our ’56. It turns out fuel filler hose does not like to make unplanned sharp bends. Good thing we can improvise and know how to use some hose clamps and steel 90s. Also, that gas cap is from one of our favorite Jeep junkyards and while it’s not as old as the ’56’s vintage sheetmetal, it does have patina.
