The new-to-us donor engine was supposedly pulled out of a running Jeepster, but once we started pulling hoses and stuff off of it, we found lots of corrosion to the aluminum parts. The water neck was corroded, the intake manifold was cracked, the oil pan had a hole in it, and when we pulled the water pump off, we found it had no vanes on the impeller—they had all corroded away. We swapped all of our stuff over from our old engine, along with this new water pump which we got from Summit Racing.
