Re-coring our old radiator would cost more than a brand-new, high-performance, heavy-duty unit from BTR Radiators. We were told the three-core, 11⁄2-inch-thick heavy-duty units were in stock and ready to ship. But our Jeepster had a 2-inch-thick core. BTR had never heard of one before. We suspect the thicker radiator was to cope with the factory A/C. BTR didn’t want to send us less radiator than we had, so we worked with them to develop this 2-inch-thick, triple-core radiator. It has the heavy-duty brass tanks connected with heavier-than-usual brass tubes. Like the other BTR radiators we’ve used, this one bolted right into our Jeep and our factory hoses lined right up.
