Sure, it doesn’t look stock, but it runs great. We also added Performance Distributor’s low-resistance wires and aluminum separators. The company’s redesigned longer billet neck of the distributor clears not only our intake manifold but allows us greater rotation (and thus, timing adjustment) than we ever had with our old points-type distributor. Once we get around to putting our factory York compressor back on the engine, the large-diameter HEI cap likely won’t clear the factory compressor mount. Fortunately, the company is working on a stock-looking high-performance distributor.
