Usually messing with an old gas tank causes debris to get loosened and dumped into the system. So, as a precaution, we added this clear fuel filter before the factory-style filter. This way we can see if gas is flowing and also keep our eye on how much junk got freed from the nearly 35-year-old tank. Also, when we started Piggy after this fix we were able to see that no fuel was reaching the carb. We guess that moving air to fill the new fuel lines caused the fuel pump to poop out on us.
