Oh boy! Does this thing ever love to hate us. Since the last time we played with Number Two in the pages of Jp, things haven’t gotten much better. For one thing, the Jeep failed Arizona emissions testing. We decided to spend a bit more time tuning the Jeep, getting a more complete burn in the cylinders, and fixing vacuum, coolant, and exhaust leaks. Oh, about that—we knew the 258ci’s EGR emissions pipe had a crack in it—what we didn’t know is that the threads in the intake manifold that accept this tube were totally stripped out. Someone had attempted to JB Weld the tube in the intake…poorly, and the closest junkyard with a used replacement intake was 380 miles away.
