These springs are an old school way to stretch the wheelbase on your leaf-sprung Jeep and it’s been years since we’ve done this. As it turns out, the rear bushing wasn’t wide enough and the ID of the sleeve was too big for our 1⁄2-inch-diameter bolt. Fortunately, we had some M02153 Daystar bushings left over from another project along with the correctly-sized sleeves. We swapped the as-delivered 2.736-inch-wide, 0.562-inch ID bushings and sleeves to YJ-spec 3-inch-wide bushing with a 0.508 ID sleeve. With our boomerang shackles, the springs fit just fine, and shackle angle is good too.
