You know the old saying “Measure twice, cut once”? Well in this case, it is closer to “Measure 100 times before cutting.” The shock kit is a universal kit, so cutting and welding is required. But if you cut too much, then you end up the poo creek. We first leveled the Jeep side-to-side with a magnetic angle gauge. Then we measured a lot. Among the measurements we were concerned with were the distance to the firewall, distance to ground, distance between towers, distance to the outside of the fenders, and the angle of the hoops. All of the dimensions need to match from side-to-side. Do yourself a favor here and don’t be in a hurry for this step.
