Crossing the logging bridge at the Dead Diamond River always signals the end of another year’s northern hunting trip. Over the prior four days, we had rallied the Jeep down washboard tote roads like Travis Pastrana on a Red Bull binge, conquered terrain that had only previously seen gargantuan skidder tires, and used the Jeep as a pack mule throughout the entire duration. All told, our resurrection efforts proved as reliable and effective as a sledgehammer and didn’t leave a whole lotta room for gripes.
