When the boss man comes into your office and tells you to go do something nutty and fun, then write a story about it, you don’t need to be told twice. What follows is a typical ordinary outing for us. After all, stupid is as stupid does.

Every now and then I pick up a Car Craft magazine for some engine tech or plain old amusement. In the July ’01 issue, former Freiburger lackey and Car Craft editor Matt King was going on about some cruise to Reno in which his group would stop by Los Angeles County Raceway because, as any good four-wheeler knows, that’s about the only fun those car guys are able to have. We pulled into LACR behind the first two Car Craft fans to arrive and did our best Jethro Bodine impersonations for the next two hours.
