1997 Jeep TJ - Project Teal-J II - Introduction

The return of our favorite Jeep project

  • Cut to the present: Here's Teal-J in its current state. The Fun Countrys had long ago gone bald and had been replaced with a set of 33-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. Plenty of washing was required to get all of the grime off Teal-J.

  • Teal-J's interior is in sorry shape. A couple hours of cleaning was necessary to get it even halfway presentable for this photo. It had been abandoned outside for a couple of years, at the home of a former staffer, with no top.

  • If you look closely, you may be able to see that the front Dana 30 axle has a nice bend to it. We also found out the hard way that the headlights no longer work. We plan to fix those items and a lot more, so stay tuned.
