We opted to wire the compressor "hot." In other words, the compressor can receive current by simply flipping the power switch even with the trucks ignition in the "off" position. Extreme Aire includes a detailed schematic wiring diagram for standard wiring of the system as well. We mounted the 100-amp circuit breaker (seen here) near the battery and connected it to the battery using four-gauge cable. View Related Article
