 Favorite Project Truck Teal-Brute

Teal Brute
This built to the hilt '97 Jeep TJ has graced Four Wheeler's pages since '96 and is still among the favorites of all staff members. Specs: 5.7L Hemi, 545RFE Automatic, Atlas 4-SP, locked Prorock 60s front and rear, AEV Brute Conversion, 40-inch Goodyear MTRs on Poison Spyder Bead locked wheels.

 Favorite Project Truck Rang-Runner

RangeRunner
This wicked fast '02 Ford Ranger FX4 sports a supercharged 257-HP 4.0L V-6 mated to a stock 5-speed and stock transfer case. The crown jewel of this ride is the Dixon Brothers Racing long travel suspension system featuring Bilstein shocks. A sturdy set of BFG ATs are wrapped around American Racing 16-inch aluminum wheels.

 Favorite Project Truck Everydaytitan

Everyday Titan
This '04 Nissan Titan was the TTC support vehicle in `06 and still remains an active member of our project fleet today. Mods include 18-inch Weld wheels, Nitto Dune Grapplers, Glassworks front fenders and hood, a custom XXX-Traction tube bumper, Rancho shocks, a Tom Woods rear driveshaft, a Tire Gate, a Nismo cold air intake, Dynomax exhaust, a rear Detroit Trutrac, and a bumpin' MTX stereo system.

 Favorite Project Truck Frontier

Nismo Frontier
This '05 Nissan Frontier was one of our most popular project trucks of all time. Built around the idea of supporting our former RTCC event the otherwise stock drive train was set up with a 5-inch Calmini suspension lift, 33-inch Toyo MTs, 18-inch American Racing wheels, a AEM cold air intake, a JBA header-back exhaust system, a TJM Snorkel, Light Racing Jounce Shocks, FST rocker guards, a Tire Gate and a whole assortment of electrical upgrades.

 Favorite Project Truck JK

Con Artist
This '07 Jeep JK does everything well. Mild enough to take your wife out to a fancy dinner, yet capable enough to walk right through the Rubicon. The 3.8L V-6 gets help from a AEM cold air intake system. A Kilby on-board air system provides plenty of utility for filling up tires and running air tools on the trail. The body is protected by a whole assortment of armor products by Jeep, Poison Spyder Customs, AEV and Kilby Enterprises. AEV wheels and BFG meats complete the look of this multi-functional rig.

 Favorite Project Truck Flatty

Colonel Mustard
The oldest member of the Four Wheeler family is unarguably Sean P. Holman's clean '51 CJ-3A. Still work in progress this flat fender hit the jackpot as far as the life of a Jeep goes. Garaged nightly and driven weekly and still reciving upgrades each month this Mustard yellow flatty reminds us that you don't need all that high-tech gadgetry to have fun on the trail. Mods include a Warn 8274 winch, a Saturn overdrive and 32-inch BFG MTs mounted to retro-look-alike Stockton steel wheels.

 Favorite Project Truck Mega-Titan

Mega Titan
As exotic as they come the Mega Titan captures the inner child of just about anyone. Weather its crushing cars on the weekends, or retrieving stuck skiers from the Serria foot hills, the Mega Titan turns heads in a big way. A Stillen Supercharged 5.6L V-8 sends power through a stock 5-speed automatic mated to an Atlas II transfer case. The axles are both Dynatrac Prorocks, a 60 up front and a new rear steer 80 out back. Running 46-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on Stazworks double bead lock wheels, this truck makes mole hills out of even the largest mountains. 8 Fox racing shocks support the super flexy link suspension while a pair of Warn winches stand by for extraction duties.

 Favorite Project Truck Red-Head

Fiery Red Head
This '92 F-150 build by Senior Editor Ken Brubaker fulfills the "workin' truck" needs of our readership. Designed to do everything you expect from a good pickup and then some, the Red Head is now complete and will likely go down in the history books as one of most real-world rig in our fleet. A 5.0L V-8 was upgraded with a Mean green 200-AMP alternator, a K&N FIPK intake, and dual Optima yellow tops. The E40D transmission is mated to a Borg-Warner 13-56 transfer case. The axles are upgraded with gears and lockers and the rear was replaced with stout Dynatrac Dana 60. Tire clearance comes from a Rancho 4-inch Suspension lift complete with RS9000X shocks. The 33-inch Goodyear MTRs provide excellent grip in snow and mud while keeping things quiet on pavement. A whole assortment of body work was furnished by LMC truck and Brubaker went as far as to installed heavy duty winch bumpers front and rear. Finally, the aluminum tool box contains an Extreme Outback air compressor for trail support duties.

 Favorite Project Truck Baja-Bomber

Baja Bomber
The Baja Bomber belongs to Feature Editor Robin Stover and sports a plethora of go-fast goodies. Starting life as a '99 Ram 2500 Stover caved in and had a twin turbo system installed on the Cummins 24-valve diesel. Other power mods include an Edge Comp fueling box, stage 2 injectors, a FASS pump, water/meth injection, and a Pears ported and o-ringed head. The potent package produces a dyno-proven 500 HP and 1,000-lb-ft of torque. This beast is set up for diesel drag racing and Baja racing support. The truck runs a DTT 46RE automatic with billet internals, a NP-241D transfer case, ARB lockers in both Dana axles, and a pair of Mag Hy Tech diff covers to keep heat at bay. A custom aluminum chase/support flatbed lightens the load while a complete KORE unlimited suspension system cushions occupants while prerunning Baja's brutal terrain. 37-inch Cooper Discoverer STT tires are locked to Weld Commando PRO wheels.

 Favorite Project Truck Superburb

SuperBurb
Recently brought back to the Four Wheeler stables, the SuperBurb is only a few stories away from being completed. This '71 Suburban sports a GM Performance Parts HT 383 small block mated to a NV-4500 transmission. From there power is split by a NP-205 to a pair of built axles. The rear is an ORU prepped 14-bolt and the front is an Ox-locked Dana 44 with Superior axle shafts. Currently the interior is completely stripped and ready for whatever Stover plans to do next.

 Favorite Project Vehicle Poll H3

H3 Alpha
Our newest project rig, a '08 Hummer H3 Alpha is in the capable hands of Senior Editor Ken Brubaker undergoing a no nonsense de-blinging build up.So far Ken has added a set of Rod Hall racing Shocks, Light Racing Jounce Shocks, A sweet looking set of GT Simulated bead locks which are wrapped in a set of 285/75/16 BFG ATs. The victory red factory paint job was covered with a healthy dose of flat clear and the chrome door handles and logos were replaced with black to add to the all-business look.
