10. The springs were then attached to the pivot points on the Willys with the new pivot bolts.

11. Next, new U-bolts, which are formed in-house at Deaver, were made.

12. Before installation, the U-bolts were primered and painted with an anticorrosion paint.

13. On the rear axle, we installed a shim to make sure the pinion angle remained safe.

14. With the spring installation buttoned up, Jeff made sure everything was properly greased.

15. Not only were we able to locate some excellent Bilstein shocks that would work with our application, but we also found them in old-school yellow.

16. We love the look of our BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain/Stockton wheel combination. These strong wheels were powdercoated in gloss black by Stockton, and were delivered to us straight and true.

17. Here, the finished product is ready to get broken in on the trail. Not only are we no longer limited by rubbing on tight turns, but with the new suspension, the Jeep no longer bottoms out.
