BIG RIG
John and Carrie Renshaw of Council Bluffs, Iowa own this large-and-in-charge 2000 Ford F-350. A Fabtech lift clears the way for 39.5-inch Boggers on 16.5x12 Weld Scorpio wheels. Dual shocks at every corner help to control the big tires while a dual exhaust helps to move the big Ford quicker. A billet grill along with a cowl induction hood helps to add to the impressive look of the Ford. The windows are tinted and a set of chrome differential covers have also been installed.
CORPUS CHRISTI CHEVY
Monica Molina can be spotted around Corpus Christi, Texas in her '94 Chevy Z71 extended cab. To make it move a bit faster, a K&N air filter system was used, and so was a set of MSD plug wires. On the exit side, a Flowmaster exhaust system was used. For a boost, a 6-inch Tuff Country suspension lift was put into place. The big Chevy rides on 33-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrains on 15x8 chrome wheels. Finally, a six-disc CD changer was added along with some additional speakers for tunes.
FAB FORD
Kevin Pjatak of Stratford, Connecticut supplied us with this cool photo of his '88 Ford F-350. A 6-inch Skyjacker lift, along with a 3-inch body lift, clears the way for the massive 44-inch Boggers on 16.5x14 Eaton wheels. Powering the Ford through the mud is a built 460 big-block with a Weiand high-rise intake and Holley carb. A five-speed transmission then sends the power to the stock transfer case. From there, power goes to a Dana 60 front axle stuffed with 5.38 gears and an ARB Air Locker. In the rear a Sterling 10.25 axle is used along with another set of 5.38 cogs and a Detroit Locker. A Warn bumper, along with its 12,000-pound winch, sits up front to pull the Ford out of the mud.
TEXAS DODGE
Rick Reed of Moody, Texas is the proud owner of this '79 1/2-ton Dodge Ram. An 8-inch Skyjacker lift and 3-inch body lift are used to gain altitude. Tires come in the form of 38x12.50 Super Swampers on Stockton steel wheels. The stock axles are filled with 4.56 gears to help turn the big meats. Powering the Ram is a 318 V-8 backed by the stock transmission and transfer case. A Superwinch winch is up front for recovery duties.
SCOUTING AROUND
Geoff Bogner of Purcell, Oklahoma spent plenty of time bringing back this '71 Scout 800B. The 232 six-cylinder was equipped with a Dynomax header, Carter carb and a Duraspark ignition to wring as much power as possible out of it. Power then flows to a T-90 transmission and Dana 20 transfer case. A Dana 30 axle rests up front, while a Dana 44 is found out back. The stock springs were used, but shackles 2 inches longer than stock supply an inch of lift. This helps to clear the 31-inch Mud King tires on 15x8 chrome wheels.
NICE TACO
Cruising around Hollywood, Florida is Sam Lewis and his '98 Toyota Tacoma. It sits a bit higher than stock, thanks to a 6-inch Trail Master lift combined with a Sway-A-Way lift. Custom springs were built in the rear to bring up the back. With the new altitude, enough room was made to clear 33-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains on 15x8 aluminum Eagle wheels. Up front, a Safari Bar was fitted along with four KC Daylighters to light up the night.
