1988 Toyota 4X4 Front Driver Side View

CALIFORNIA CRAWLER
Kyle Skeen of Crescent City, California owns this nice '88 Toyota 4x4. The IFS was quickly ditched and replaced with a live-axle conversion kit from All Pro. Front and rear long-travel springs, also from All Pro, are used to provide articulation. A crossover steering system was also put into place. A rear bumper from Rockstomper is used for protection aft, while an All Pro front bumper is used on the bow. Finally, a set of 5.29 gears was put in the diffs, along with a spool up front and a Detroit Locker in the rear.

CLEAN CHEVY
Patrick Hayes of Vancouver, Washington has put a lot of work into his '63 Chevy. It went through a complete frame-off restoration in which everything was replaced or upgraded. Powering the rig is a 350 V-8 that has been equipped with a cam, Edelbrock carb and headers. A TH400 transmission is then used and the transfer case is stock. The suspension is also stock but clears a set of 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains. Finally a clean coat of white paint was bathed onto the truck.

JAMMIN J
Lucas Myers is the happy owner of this '77 J10. His first step was to rebuild the 360 V-8, and then he added an MSD ignition and a K&N filter. The automatic was replaced with a T-18 four-speed manual. To give the truck a boost, a spring-over conversion was performed and Rancho shocks were put into place. Under those springs are Dana 44s front and rear, equipped with 4.10 gears and a Power Lok in the rear.

FAB F-150
Andy Hammes of Union Grove, Wisconsin is the proud owner of this '94 Ford F-150. Under its hood is a 302 V-8 that has been equipped with a K&N air filter and a 2 1/2-inch after-cat exhaust system. A 4-inch Rancho lift along with a 2-inch body lift clears the 35-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrains. Rancho RS 5000 shocks at every corner help to smooth out the ride. Inside the trucks rests a booming audio system.

THE TOY
Straight out of New River, Arizona are Bud Deegan and his '83 Toyota 4x4. Bud's truck features a 4-inch Rough Country lift and a 2-inch body lift. That setup clears 33-inch Super Swampers turned by a 22R four-banger. Helping squeeze some more power out of the four-cylinder is a Weber carb and a header. To help the 'Yota crawl, a set of 4.7:1 low-range gears from Advance Adapters was put into the transfer case.
