Simply Wicked
Pete Vigliano from Austin, Texas sent in this shot of his wicked 2004 Chevrolet K2500 HD. The truck sports a 6.0L gas engine that is supercharged by Magnacharger. The lift is a 10-inch setup by B&C Offroad in Pasadena, Texas. The rig uses Fabtech shock hoops and Bilstein shocks. The front bumper is from Off Road Tech in Oregon, with additional modification by B&C. Pete runs 42-inch IROKs on 16x10-inch American Racing Atlas wheels.
Rock Hound
Matthew Fellows of Long Beach, California loves rockcrawling in this 2001 TJ. It hosts a full assortment of trailworthy components. For starters, the Jeep rides on a Rubicon Express 5.5-inch long-arm suspension lift. Under that, a set of 35-inch Goodyear MTR tires handle traction needs. Next, a Dana 30 with a Lock-Rite and a Warn hub conversion make up the front axle. The rear is a Superior Super 44 with 33-spline shafts and a Detroit Locker. Protecting this TJ on the trail is a sweet set of Poison Spyder tube fenders, and a pair of "Off Your Rockers" rocker panel and corner panel protection plates.
Icelandic Patrol
U.S. Air Force Pilot Randy Watkins sent in this shot of his 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew. The rig has a 3-inch body lift, which helps to clear 33-inch Kelly Springfield Safari tires wrapped around a set of 16-inch Pacer wheels. Randy says he uses the Ford mostly for duck hunting trips in the Louisiana swamps. However, while stationed in Iceland, he has found out it works well in the snow and ice too.
Twisted TJ
This trick 1999 TJ is owned by Todd A. Nelson of Houston, Texas. Todd stretched the Jeep's wheelbase to 113 inches, then added such goodies as an Atlas II 3.8:1 transfer case, a Klune-V 4:1 underdrive unit, a high-pinion Dana 60 front axle and a Corporate 14-bolt rear. Both use Detroit Lockers and 4.10:1 gearing. Tom had a pair of stout driveshafts built by Tom Wood, and he says his final crawl ratio is a low 240:1. PSC hydro-assist steering, and an OTT high-steer conversion help keep this monster pointed in the right direction. For suspension, Todd had a flexible four-link front and a three-link rear built to fit 44-inch TSLs on recentered H1 wheels.
