Backwoods YJ
Jeff and Karyn Mansell of Ormond Beach, Florida, own this tricked-out '93 Jeep Wrangler YJ. The stock 4.0L and automatic get help from a Rock-It air intake, Hesco throttle-body spacer, and 4.88:1 gearing. A Detroit-locked Currie RockJock 60 is out back while a 30-spline Dana 44, also with a Detroit, handles the front. The 37-inch X-terrains make plenty of traction, and a Warn M8000 winch is on standby in case things get ugly.

Unlimited Access
This rig was sent in by Roy Mussatti via fourwheeler.com. Roy has an unusual story as he is in a wheelchair because of a broken neck that happened during a freestyle snow sled accident. He doesn't let that stop him though. Roy regularly enjoys mud bogs and mud races and regular wheeling whenever he can. This '86 4Runner features 40-inch Interco Boggers, a 6-inch suspension lift, a 3-inch body lift, and of course, hand controls. Awesome story Roy, keep at it!

2WD Beach Comber
Nguyen Ngo of Dripping Springs, Texas, bought this truck "brand new" on his 18th birthday. It's a '98 Chevy 11/42-ton two-wheel-drive with a 305 V-8. Nguyen installed a Powertrax No-Slip locker to help the two driven wheels chug along in the sand. A set of Cooper STTs provide the traction. The rig is lifted 7 inches up front, and a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks helps control the ride. Other mods include a Magnaflow exhaust system, a cowl hood, and lots of auxiliary lighting.

Back From Iraq
Jeremy Perry from Fort Carson, Colorado, spent way too much time in Iraq. So long, in fact, that his banked paychecks were enough to pay cash for this '01 Dodge 2500 with the Cummins engine. The drivetrain is stock for now, though Jeremy did swap in a set of 35-inch Interco Thornbirds mounted on 16x10 steel wheels. For power, the oil-burner is aided by an Edge EZ tuner box, 6-inch dual Grand Rock exhaust stacks, and a K&N air filter. Future mods include an upgraded tranny, twin turbo setup, a bigger intercooler and injectors, 8 inches of lift, and 38-inch tires. Nice starting point, Jeremy! Be sure to send us another picture once it's completed.

Soft Core Ford
Jeffrey Dunn lives in Chandlersville, Ohio, and drives this 4.6L V-8-powered '05 F-150 daily. Jeffrey bought this truck new and right away installed a set of 17-inch Eagle Alloy wheels and a K&N cold-air intake. Other goodies include a Magnaflow after-cat exhaust system, a 2.5-inch leveling kit, a set of Bushwacker fender flares, and a Ford bedliner. Although Jeffrey's not a hard-core four-wheeling guy, we're hoping his 12-year-old son Christopher (who took the picture) can convince dad to build him a rig in about 3 years.

Bogged Down F-150
Luke Hofmann of Richville, Minnesota, wheels this nearly stock '05 Ford F-150 regularly. The only thing he changed from stock is the mufflers, which were removed to give the truck a "better" sound. This shot was taken after work when Luke decided to go down to the pond to check things out. When he noticed that there wasn't much water, he figured it wouldn't be too bad. As you can see he was very wrong. It took an '06 F-450 to free the vehicle from the mud. Way to go Luke. Now go buy some accessories!
