Santa Cruise CJ

Soren Coats, of Santa Cruz, California, drives this '80 CJ-5 wherever he wants. Sporting a Vortech 6.0L powerplant mated to a T-18/Dana 300 combination, Soren has plenty of power and gearing to take on any terrain. A custom quarter-elliptical rear suspension arrangement allows ample articulation, while a pair of locked Dynatrac ProRock 60s keep 37-inch Xterrains on Champion bead locks turning. The custom 9-inch stretched body allows for a trail-friendly 103-inch wheelbase.Safety comes from a sweet cage built by Overkill Jeep Fabrication.

Flat Nasty

This sweet Toyota FJ40 buggy belongs to Barry Beadle of Granbury, Texas. Sporting dual Rockwell steering axles, high-clearance pans, and hydraulic steering this crawler is ready to tackle anything. The 44-inch Super Swampers are locked by a set of Stazworks wheels with OTC Rock Rings. Other goodies include a Chevy LS2 V-8, a B&H 4L65E transmission, an Atlas four-speed, Sway-A-Way coilover shocks, Corbeau seats, dual Power Tanks, and dual Warn 8274 winches.Hey Barry, ever consider TTC?

Clean K-Truck

This '94 Chevy K-1500 belongs to Steve Tipton of Dickson, Tennessee. Aside from a set of 265/75/16 all-terrain tires and a toolbox, this K-truck is all stock. However, Steve's not afraid to use it. Prior to taking this picture, Steve broke both automatic hubs attempting to remove a tree stump. Next on Steve's wish list is a 6-inch Tuff Country suspension lift and 35-inch MTs.

Sturgess YJ

This '90 Jeep Wrangler belongs to Russ Sturgess of Medina, Ohio. It features a fuel-injected 400 small-block along with a 700R4 and an NP231 transfer case. Built Dana 60s are locked by ARB and geared with 4.88:1 gearing. A 2.5- inch spring-over helps make room for 39-inch Super Swamper TSLs. Russ also added ramassist steering, onboard air, bead locks, and Tom Wood's driveshafts.

One Wicked TJ

Aaron Bortolazzo, of San Mateo, California, commissioned the insane buildup of this '04 TJ by Overkill Jeep Fabrication of Campbell, California. The only items left stock were the 4.0L powerplant and factory automatic transmission. Mods include a Stak three-speed transfer case, Currie Rock Jock 60s, 14-inch Fox coilovers, air bumps front and rear, a PSC hydro-assist system, a custom three-link front suspension, and a trick triangulated four-link rear suspension. The rig rides on 40-inch Xterrains mounted to Walker Evans double beadlocked wheels. All body armor, cage work, and other custom details were completed by Overkill's accomplished crew.

Damage Inc.

Say hello to Tony Miller's '85 GMC Jimmy. Tony resides in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, where backcountry mud bogs are a way of life. The Jimmy is powered by a supercharged 454 big-block sporting a 1,000-cfm Barry Grant carburetor. A manual-shifted Turbo 400 transmission mates to an NP205 transfer case. A Dana 60 lives up front and a 14-bolt takes charge out back, both featuring 4.88:1s and lockers. Lift comes from a set of 8-inch Superlift and Skyjacker leaf packs. Traction is provided by a set of 40-inch Ground Hawg tires. Other mods include front and rear winches, a full cage, and hydraulic steering.

Built Right

This '00 F-350 belongs to Danny Williams of Salinas, California. Sporting an 11-inch Pro Comp suspension lift and Fox remote-reservoir shocks, this fabulous flatbed gets plenty of attention both on the trail or cruising the strip. Trick mods include a stout Marmon Herrington 2-ton front axle sporting an ARB and 5.13:1 gearing. Their is also a set of 40-inch Super Swampers to provide traction while an ARB front bumper, snorkel, lights, and roof rack give the rig an unmistakable look. For power, Danny added an Edge programmer along with a Banks exhaust system. A Bradford flatbed, hydraulic-assist steering, and a MileMarker 12,000-pound winch round out the list of goodies installed by the guys from Right Gear & Axle of Salinas.
