The CXT is powered by a massive inline-six DT466 diesel engine. While this legendary engine can trace its lineage back a number of years, this current engine has been upgraded with a variety of electronic controls to make it more powerful, more fuel-efficient, and more emissions-friendly. The view from the front is commanding, to say the least. The driver stays informed via a gauge cluster that sports the usual gauges plus transmission temperature and a pair of gauges for the two compressed air tanks. At night, the dash and the interior come alive with excellent lighting.
