For these times, Polaris has introduced the brand-new 700 Classic Touring. It's designed to offer innovation, luxury and power in a refined package for those riders wishing for a more civilized snowmobile.
Polaris' EDGE Touring chassis infuses the sled with styling never before seen on a two-up touring sled. It offers loads of storage opportunities with its expandable storage compartment, and the sled offers the passenger truly luxurious features, including a sculpted seat, adjustable lumbar support, adjustable handgrip positions, adjustable heating for the handgrips, gauntlets for wind protection and adjustable footrest positions. Both the passenger and the driver can enjoy the heated running boards, and the driver is treated to four-position hand warmers and three-position thumb warmers.
A cushy ride is created by an EDGE Touring rear suspension with Ride Control Adjustment that negates the need for suspension adjustments, whether one or two riders are on the sled, and an EDGE independent front suspension with CRC (Controlled Roll Center) that boasts a 4211/42-inch ski stance and 10 inches of front travel.
Under the hood is a powerful Polaris Liberty 700 liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder, two-stroke engine with the Variable Exhaust System (VES). It's fed by twin Mikuni 40mm flatslide carburetors with throttle-position sensors. The engine features an enhanced timing curve for easier starting and new Grafal-coated pistons for improved durability. Power is transferred to the 136x15x1-inch lug track that boasts 15.5 inches of travel by a roller-driven clutch with Polaris Electric Reverse Control and a Melonite clutch roller pin for increased durability and smoother clutch operation. Reigning in the power is a Phantom twin-piston caliper liquid-cooled hydraulic brake.
The '03 Polaris 700 Classic Touring snowmobile also has a 12.25-gallon fuel tank for extended riding, and it comes with a rich champagne-colored hood and a quiet exhaust system. The bottom line is that the 700 Classic Touring answers the call for a luxurious and powerful two-passenger snowmobile for those times when you just want to cruise in comfort.
