We've always spent at least one day tooling around Moab's infamous Hells Revenge trail during Easter Jeep week. With steep climbs and devilish drop-offs, the slick-rock of Hell's Revenge provides spectacular scenery separated by supreme challenges for just about any vehicle. But did you know that the trail we Jeepers see is only half of the story? This year we ran into Tom Taggart, owner of Cyclepath Bike Tours, and found ourselves salivating at the idea of exploring the lesser-known reaches of Hell's Revenge on these two-wheeled trials hybrid bikes. You see, Tom owns a company that offers guided tours over areas where Jeeps simply can't go. The bikes are like a super-nimble motorcycle of sorts. Powered by a 70cc Yamaha four-stroke engine, each bike provides hours of fun on one-third of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline and with very little effort. Unlike mountain biking over the slick rock surrounding Hell's Revenge, these motorized bikes let you explore without getting tired. We spent a whole morning following Tom to unique places nestled amongst the slick rock, exploring the path less traveled and basically having the time of our lives.
