Couple other guys in 4x4's were actually impressed with the black XJ's rock ability, as little as it has. Be different than everyone & their Jeeps! It's an 1987 Dodge Raider (or Mitsubishi Pajero Mk 1) with the 2L 4 cylinder and an automatic. The interior is phenomenal in it and it starts and drives no problem! :D The frame does have some rust issues that would need to be taken care of however, which I sadly dont have the time to fix. There is some rust in a few spots on the body but nothing terrible. :( The motor is the same that is in a Conquest/Starion, and has a brand new cylinder head on it! (which is worth as much as the whole truck itself) It is still the carbureted model but it starts up no problem and drives beautifully, and even has low km's (just 154,000). Im looking to recoup some of my cost in this so im having to dump it at $1500 or best offer . Willing to part if need be to keep another few of these wicked little beasts going. :o If you’re interested please email and we can arrange for a look since it is located in Kingsville Ontario. Buyer will have to pay shipping but can be delivered for additional cost. I'm going to buy some King coil springs. I've already got some Koni Heavy Duty shocks which I'm happy with but I still want to improve the comfort factor. Whilst driving on road I'm pretty happy except for driving over small cracks, I can really feel the vibration coming up through the wheels which is very annoying. Also when driving off road (I live in the UAE) I want to improve the comfort when driving over patches of hard compact sand which has ripples in it very close together, this just shakes the vehicle like mad. Now the guy at the dealer for King said I have two choices for my model. One of the coil springs will increase the height by about an inch while the other set will maintain standard height (which I would prefer). He doesn't seem to know much else unfortunately so I was hoping to find some help on here! Would anyone know why one set would higher the vehicle and the other not? Would it be that the coils which maintain standard height are linear and the set that raises the vehicle are variable? This is all pretty new to me so I'm trying to figure out which set I should buy. I don't carry heavy loads, I use the car on a daily basis, not just for off-roading. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Coil Springs for my Patrol |

I've had this truck since I was 14 and never had this problem and couldn't figure it out myself. It wants to hesitate on take off and spit and sputter. I've always done regular maintenance to it. It just started doin this. I've changed the plugs, cap, rotor, throttle position sencer, and air flow sencer. And the plug wires are only about a year old. She's got 235xxx miles on her now and she still runs great other than this issue. And when I go to kick down a gear to pass it fall on its face befor it actually starts to move and even when it does start to go its not as much power as it used to be. I do beleave it has a jasper engine in it it's not the stock engine and the sereal number has an h.o in it and I'm told that means its a high output engine. The only thing I could think of to replace would be the map sencer or coil. I need someone to help me befor I put more wasted money into it I'm tired of the guessing game this is my last resort. Thank you for any advice

Chevy truck problems |

It will not be a bolt-in swap. If you are not afraid of heavy fabrication it can be done though. As for the engine, Pull the plugs and and see if the tips look rusty. Spray some lube down each of the cylinders and try to turn the engine over by hand to see if it has rusted inside the cylinders. Change the oil and filter, coolant, brake fluid, and any other liquids. You will likely need to clean or replace the carb but you can try to run it as is. Just keep an eye out for leaks. Prime the oiling system before trying to start it and replace the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and air filter. Look carefully for leaks everywhere. You may need new fuel lines and coolant hoses.

1979 Powerwagon/1988 Ram 150 LE |
