Ive got the perfect starter truck to turn into a trail rig or farm truck! Be different than everyone & their Jeeps! It's an 1987 Dodge Raider (or Mitsubishi Pajero Mk 1) with the 2L 4 cylinder and an automatic. The interior is phenomenal in it and it starts and drives no problem! :D The frame does have some rust issues that would need to be taken care of however, which I sadly dont have the time to fix. There is some rust in a few spots on the body but nothing terrible. :( The motor is the same that is in a Conquest/Starion, and has a brand new cylinder head on it! (which is worth as much as the whole truck itself) It is still the carbureted model but it starts up no problem and drives beautifully, and even has low km's (just 154,000). :grin: Im looking to recoup some of my cost in this so im having to dump it at $1500 or best offer . Willing to part if need be to keep another few of these wicked little beasts going. :o If you’re interested please email and we can arrange for a look since it is located in Kingsville Ontario. I am moving to Florida and am going to get into mudding down there. The truck I hope to convert to a mudder is a 2001 Chevy 1500. It has 260000 miles on a stock vortex engine, and I hope to fit on 37s. My plan was to add a leveling kit ( http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_99-06_leveling_kit.php ) and wheel spacers ( http://www.roughcountry.com/wheel-spacers_1101.html ) along with some fender trimming to achieve a low wide stance for my truck. My 72 f250 has the stock 44 up front i'm pretty sure i broke one of the birfields, the Q: will later model 44 axles with u-joints fit in my closed knuckle 44 and are they a special axle kit? also i've been told that if i pull disc brakes off a chevy 3/4 ton they will bolt in place of my drum setup, if not what will interchange?? I can't find any interchange info anywhere.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. This is also my first post. I recently acquired my Fathers 1989 Yamaha Big Bear 350. My father died 9 years ago in the spring and stored the quad the fall before. I recently transported it home from southern Ontario and have a question regarding the engine oil(no manual). What weight of oil do I use? Can I use synthetic? I have ordered parts for it but can't seem to find this answer even when I phoned the local Yamaha dealer. Thanks Wayne

We don't really deal too much with ATVs. Sorry. But it sounds like a bad switch. it could be just dirty or a little corroded. If you can, try pulling it apart and cleaning it. Then wipe down the internals with dialectic grease.

It's either spark or fuel related...If I had to guess, I'd say fuel. Is the filter fresh. Is the fuel stale or old/water in it? Is the fuel pump in good shape? Does it only run sluggish at higher RPMs and under heavy load?

I think you mean an SM420. It's a great granny gear truck transmission. First gear is an admirable 7.05:1. Great for crawling. There is a bit of a gap between second and third but that's fairly common with all the early truck four-speeds which are really only three-speeds on the street. On road you will never use first gear. First: 7.05:1 Second: 3.57:1 Third: 1.70:1 Fourth: 1:1 Reverse: 6.78:1
