Hi, I hope someone can help me. I have an 87 Honda FourTrax Sport for wheeler. Even though it has a lot of years on it, it's in good shape because it was fairly well taken care of and hardly ever road. The problem is, some dog came by and chewed the wiring harness off of it. The CDI box. Well, I found another CDI box that cost 50 bucks and I bought it, but it still wont get fire. I have it at a mechanic and that's what he told me. The guy I bought the CDI box from swears it was getting fire. The bigger problem is now I can't find another CDI box. If any one can offer and opinion or can suggest someone to talk to I would really really appreciate it. I'm trying to rig this thing up for my grandson for Christmas. He's a little guy and a 125 would be perfect for him. Thanks a lot for any help.

thank you. i had an 83 when i was about 13. my uncle gave it to me to fix up and drive when i was 16 but needless to say i played a little to hard with it. yanked the bed, doors, and nocked the glass out of it and just had fun out on the farm and gravel roads

I have a 1983 dodge ram charger with automatic locking hubs and for some reason the front driver side hub is clicking.I was told that the previous owner greased them and that they are sticking.Iam new at the whole 4x4 seen but not new to mechanics.can anyone give me some feed back on this subject please :confused:

I have a 93 Sonoma SLE 4.3L and its bone stock lookin to put a lift kit on it, not sure of where and what lift would be best and or a website??. it will be a occasional driver during winter and summer but more of a toy.. i was reading on another page and they said 33's would be as big as i can go?? true? thanks for your time guys. I was underneath my truck the other day and noticed some stout looking rust on parts of the frame and some advanced surface rust on the driveshaft and rear axel.I'm not sure how deep some of it may be but,I do know this frame is like an inch thick of solid steel so I don't need to worry about it disintegrating tomorrow.I keep hearing about products like Rustoleum and such coatings that cover/stop rust and solid everything up. Does this Rustoleum stuff actually work? Is this something I need to have done at a shop or is it something I can do personally? What are my options as far as my rear axel and driveshaft rust go? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks guys.

Definitely gears. If your transmission has overdrive, go with 4.56 or 4.88 axle gears. If no OD, then something around 4.10 should be good to get those tires turning.

More likely it's a problem with the electronic push-button 4WD system, as there is no link between the front hubs and the 4WD indicator lights. A way to check is to leave the front hubs UNlocked, but try to shift the transfercase into 4WD. If the front driveshaft cannot be turned by hand, the t-case most likely is locked in 4WD. If the shaft does turn, then the t-case is not engaging. The shifter motor on the rear of the t-case is the most likely culprit.

Just got a 3.73 6 lug 14 Bolt locking rear differential for 95 my K1500 as I blew up my 10 bolt 3.73 stock locking rear. Before putting it in, I want to change out the oil. Wanted to know whats recommended. I was told that Shell Rotella 80w140 is what to use. Was also told with a rear that old I should stay away from Synthetics. What do you think? Keep in mind this is a completely stock unit with 100,000 miles on it. Although I take the truck offroading, it is mostly street driven. thanks Tom

I just put a 6" lift kit on my 78 gmc sierra all springs no blocks and replaced all my body bushings in the cab. and now my truck makes clanking noises every time i hit a bump or turn sharply. It just clanks and then its gone. But i dont want something to break so ia m trying to fix it but cant find any scrathch or scarred marks by the springs and bushings. Any ideas?? Thanks

Have a 1964 c20 chev 4x4 lookin to bolt on 36 or 37" tires can't find any lifts for body or susp. Tires will almost clear not afraid to do a little fender trimming but I do want to lift the body.any suggestions on wheel spacer size or body lifting.

I picked up a used Iron Rock Off Road critical path long arm 4" lift kit this weekend, as well as some used sliders. Shocks are Doetsch 8000's. I gave the control arms and sliders some sanding and paint, Keving and I should be intalling it this weekend.
