Eaton is hoping to come to market with an electronically actuated locking rear differential by next year. The advantages are clear: locked rear axles when you want them and presumably only when you need them. Its new Command-Traxx locking differential also offers a few best-of-both-worlds benefits: open diff during normal conditions but full lockup when necessary. View Related Article
