Although the Quadra Trac II transfer case and front and rear Vari-Lok differentials are the most obvious Grand Cherokee traction device (Quadra Drive), the new A-frame three-link rear suspension should not be overlooked. By removing the perfectly adequate five-link setup, Jeep was able to make the rearend more flexible, which in turn allowed tightening of the frontend for better steering response without sacrificing too much in the way of RTI scores.
