This is a 2nd-generation 10.25-inch Sterling axle. From the outside it looks no different than either the 1st generation 10.25-inch or the 10.50-inch axle. All of the Sterlings found under the '85-and-up F-250 and F-350 pickups boast durable axleshafts with unique O-ring seals.
