3. A stroker is a lot like installing a larger engine. More displacement and more power equals more Btu that the engine needs to shed. For the most part, the stock cooling system could handle a stroker, but it reduces whatever reserve capacity the cooling system might have. In hot weather and hard use, it could cause chronic overheating. The Northern High Performance radiator uses two rows of 1-inch cores that will flow more coolant but also will add about 25 percent to the cooling system fluid capacity.
