Seen from the trail's point of view, this tire really doesn't have much tread left for gripping when enveloping an obstacle. By tuning the tire, there will be additional biting edges to help create traction. Or, if the tire then conforms so much better that it closes those new voids, too, that'll also help with getting more traction. Either way, you'll gain. View Related Article
