A busted bead is merely an inconvenience since it's only a matter of airing the tire back up again, but it's a nuisance we can do without. After many years of running all kinds of tires at 2 to 6 psi on various wheels, we suddenly started losing beads quite frequently. A fluke, we thought, but we got bead-locked wheels just in case.
