Every few years, we publish this guide to help you understand the basics behind tire fitment, and what modifications you need to make to your 4x4 to fit a tire of a given size. In most cases, we cover the numbers as we know them. However, in other cases we state the best possible information available to us. Because we don't own every pickup or SUV ever made, and don't have the resources to test-fit every possible tire size, we rely heavily on suspension manufacturers and reader-generated data for the information you see here. In other words, you're best viewing this chart as an ongoing evolution of facts as we receive them, and should be referred to as general reference material rather than absolute truth for every single 4x4.
