We’ve all been there. Whether it is a tree branch or a battery tie-down on the trail (yes, we’ve run over both), nothing incites that “oh crap” feeling like a tire quickly on its way down. Typically the answer is a spare, but what if you have plenty more rugged terrain ahead, the puncture isn’t that large, or you aren’t in a safe place to do a wheel and tire swap? There are many products on the market for quick tire repair, but none are as simple and effective as the venerable tire plug.
