The Coal Chute

By now you're probably well aware of the new rule changes we've made to Top Truck Challenge and we think you'll agree that it's for the best. There's no denying a tube buggy is cool but that's just the thing... it's not a real truck! This event started out as an all-out off-road truck competition to see who had the best truck.. the Top Truck! With these new changes, we also wanted to throw in an all new event just to shake things up and keep Top Truck Challenge interesting. After-all, predictability is what drove so many competitors over the years to build tube buggies that resemble a jungle gym more than a real production truck. What we bring you this year then is a new challenge which is sure to keep competitors on their toes while tackling this obstacle we're calling, the Coal Chute!

The Coal Chute is not only new to Top Truck Challenge this year, it’s an entirely new course in the Hollister Hills SVRA off-road park. We call it the Coal Chute because it’s a jumbled mess of a climb up the side of a mountain. It’s not particularly steep but it is littered with lots of boulders, ledges, cement pipes, concrete obstacles, and more. And, just like every event at Top Truck, we plan to modify the course a bit from the way it looks during the other 364 days of the year, just to give it that little something extra and increase the difficulty. We think the competitors will absolutely love our little surprise.
