Nolan Skopliak showed up at Top Truck Challenge with a well-built 1987 GMC K5 Jimmy but once he saw the competition stripping their rigs, he quickly began shedding weight on the K5. Nolan and Tyler Skopliak took the much coveted Team Spirit Award at Top Truck Challenge this year. The Skopliak's battled through all the challenges with a never give up attitude. What really pushed them over the edge for this award though was their performance in the Hill Climb. Tyler got out to pull cable and ended up having to run all the way up the steep hill. Not only that but Tyler sprinted one of the steepest parts of the Hill Climb towards the end so his team could finish the run since both driver and spotter have to cross the finish line.

Nolan and Tyler Skopliak made a great effort to make it up the Hill Climb having to winch a bit to make progress up the trail. Nolan mashed the throttle and the 496 big block V8 screamed to the top of the hill and even got the Jimmy to do wheel stands quite a few times. Tyler Skopliak didn't let the steep Hill Climb deter him as he sprinted up the last 30 yards of the Hill Climb in a heroic way to finish within the allotted time limit. There was no stopping Tyler as he gave it his all and raced up the hill in what would have surely dropped a lesser man to his knees. The effort they put into Top Truck Challenge earned them the much coveted Team Spirit Award. The Skopliak's battled through all the challenges with a never give up attitude.
