The Dana 60 front axle, pirated from an ’83 Chevy 3500 dualie, has welded spider gears, 4.56 gears, and stock manual hubs. The axle’s internals are spun by a homemade driveshaft with 1350 and 1330 U-joints. Simple is the name of the game for the front suspension. It uses 10-inch-lift leaf springs and a single Tuff Country shock at each wheel. The steering system is also a simple affair that uses a homemade hydraulic-assist system and includes an Offroad Design steering arm.
