Under the hood is a stock 6.0L GM V-8 engine snagged from a ’02 Chevy truck. It has a homemade snorkel system so it can draw air even if the engine is submerged in the Tank Trap. A pair of Optima RedTop batteries provide current and a wiring harness from Just Chevy Trucks routes said current where it needs to go. Exhaust gases are carried by a homemade dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and a four-core radiator with two electric fans keeps the engine in its happy place temperaturewise. Note the plastic box bolted to the driver-side inner fender. This houses the ECU and a fuse box so they can’t get wet. Mounted to the engine is a TH350 transmission and power flows downstream to a NP205 T-case.
