Ten questions for Top Truck Challenge 2014 competitor #2 Josh Harris, Portland, Oregon, 1992 GMC Jimmy.Q. Why do you want to compete in TTC?
A. "I think the main reason is because I have been there twice before (once as a crew member and once as a co-driver) and now I want to run my junk in one of the best competitions around!" Q. What TTC event are you most looking forward to?
A. "I'm mostly looking forward to the Coal Chute. I have only seen it in the process of being built and I think it will be a challenge to complete. I'm a rockcrawling kinda guy, so I hope I can do well in this event!" Q. What TTC event are you not looking forward to?
A. "The mud. I HATE MUD! I don't like cleaning up after it and I don't have 500+ horsepower so it will be challenging to make it through the pit!" Q. Are you making changes to your rig before TTC?
A. "Main changes will be upgrading to 44-inch Interco TSL tires, installing a full set of Yukon inner and outer chromoly 'shafts and Super Joints in my Dana 60, Reid Racing knuckles, axle trusses and a lot of under armor! I will be stocking up on spare parts also so I can get through the complete competition." Q. Will you or your spotter/co-driver be training for TTC?
A. "I have my co-driver on a strict diet and exercise regimen. We may need to winch a lot!" Q. If you could go wheeling anywhere in the world, where would that be?
A. "Moab. I have been there once, but can't wait to go back. Such an amazing place to wheel!" Q. What's playing on your iPod/CD player right now?
A. "Dirty Heads." Q. What was the last movie you watched?
A. "Need For Speed." Q. Do you have an aversion to poison oak, earthquakes, or a submerged engine?
A. "Poison oak would be annoying but would go away, an earthquake could be exciting, and a submerged engine will hurt the wallet, but it's TTC so we will do what it takes to finish the event!" Q. What's one thing people should know about you?
A. "I'm ready to go wheelin!"
